Red Sky Presents releases “GREEN DEVIL The Book of Belial,”
the follow-up to the critically acclaimed thriller “RED DEVIL: The Book of Satan” and the second installment in the four-part “Evil on Earth” series by best-selling author David Saperstein.
“One hell of a ride” – Kirkus Reviews
GREEN DEVIL: The Book of Belial, a supernatural action thriller by David Saperstein, author, screenwriter, director and creator of the Cocoon franchise, hits bookstores and online outlets this June announced publisher Red Sky Presents. GREEN DEVIL: The Book of Belial is the second book in Saperstein’s “Evil on Earth” series about the four fallen archangels: Satan (whose story is told in the first book in the series, RED DEVIL: The Book of Satan), Belial, Lucifer, and Leviathan. All, exiled by God for their rebellion over the favor shown to mankind, exist on Earth and plot to destroy humanity. In GREEN DEVIL: The Book of Belial, “the despoiler of the Earth, the polluter of the air and land” takes on the guise of mega entrepreneur Nicholas Perez who plots to poison North America with leaked radioactive waste. He is opposed by a brave Mormon-Navaho alliance aided by a secret multicultural strike force of holy men called The Vigilant, the heroes of RED DEVIL: The Book of Satan, who previously hunted down and imprisoned Satan in China.
“Once he and his evil brothers were all entombed. It was man who released them and gave them entrance to human souls. Therefore man can do it again.”
“Not while I am alive,” Peter Somoroff promised.
Kirkus Reviews, the nation’s leading prepublications journal of book reviews, wrote that David Saperstein’s GREEN DEVIL: The Book of Belial is: “A color-coordinated supernatural action saga—told in spare characterizations and pulpy, fast moving prose….embracing all major world religions….One hell of a ride”. The magazine, published twice a month and online at Kirkus Reviews, added, “The tale has the comic-bookish vibe of a doomsday spy caper; just substitute ecumenical clergy for 007 and give the crackling jet set supervillain and his minions power to shift shape into deadly animals.”
Belial, the Green Devil is one of the four fallen evil archangels. His goal is to obliterate God’s creation, mankind, by destroying the Earth’s environment. He has the ability to take on the form of animals and birds, but now exists in human form as businessman Nicholas Perez, head of the Victory Development Corporation. By catering to the greed of high-level government officials, he gains control over huge amounts of nuclear waste materials to introduce into the water supply of major cities. Only a small, dedicated, international and diverse group of men and women known as The Vigilant, are aware of the archangel’s existence. They alone stand between Belial’s evil plan and the salvation of the planet.

Mirror Mirror, Book One of The Fat Fairy Tales… a new take on Snow White — complete with an attempted Mob Hit, a traveling Burlesque Show… and an oh-so-cute Rock Star!
She has skin as white as snow, lips red as blood, and hair black as ebony. She’s also got curves that go on for miles! But life for Neve Bianca (that’s Snow White in Italian) isn’t easy. Her father, Vinnie, has her trapped at home, slaving away at the family business, promising she can finally finish her degree when the company is doing better. But really, business is just fine. Vinnie likes having her around because she reminds him of her mother, who was nothing like his new wife, Neve’s stepmother Vania. She’s a Prada-wearing ice queen who makes Tony Soprano look like Santa Claus.
When Neve’s father dies, she learns a little too much about the business-dealings of Vania, who’s been using Vinnie’s business to launder money for the Russian mob. Vania moves to silence Neve for good. Without any proof to bring to the authorities, Neve must flee for her life. She ends up at the Twisted Tour, a touring music festival which features alternative music and some pretty freaky side shows. She is taken in and given shelter by the tour workers, including a little person named Lindsey. Lindsey is a classically trained actress who has a hard time finding serious acting gigs because of her size. Neve can relate, and the two become fast friends.
To pay her way, Neve needs to get a job on the tour. Her self-image is so low that she actually thinks she’ll have to become the fat lady in one of the side-shows, a position usually filled by women who weigh more than 400 pounds. But her new friends see her in a much different light, and help her discover her talent for dancing. Neve ends up the star of the burlesque show and is forced to reexamine everything she has ever thought about herself.
Her sizzling hot onstage act attracts the attention of several hot guys on the tour. Neve’s head spins and heart races as she deals with being chased after by two gorgeous guys for the first time in her life. Can she trust her heart to Taye Beck, the lead singer of one of the tour’s most famous bands, even though he’s got groupies lining up for him every night? When the soulful singer gazes deep into Neve’s eyes, she melts. Or how about the handsome tour manager, Matthew Rey? He seems really interested in helping her with her new-found career, while sending shivers up her spine with the way he looks at her.
But when news of Neve’s starring role in the tour breaks, her stepmother is hot on her trail. Will Neve escape with her life? Which “prince” will she end up with? Find out in The Fat Fairytales: Mirror Mirror!
“Sweet Tales, The Adventures of Miss Jade and Britt the Kit,” first book in the Sweet Tales series by Laurie Hyman, debuts.
Love Cats? You’ll Just Love Sweet Tales!
“The Adventures of Miss Jade and Britt the Kit,” a collection of stories about two cats who travel with their owners between an apartment in Manhattan and a country house in upstate New York, hits book stores and online outlets this December, announced publisher Red Sky Presents. “The Adventures of Miss Jade and Britt the Kit,” is the first book in author Laurie Hyman’s “Sweet Tales” series,
“I wanted to tell these stories from the cat’s point of view” said Hyman. “They focus on real life experiences and explore universal themes that are resolved with understanding, wisdom and love. They are fun to read to young children, and for animal lovers of all ages — anyone who enjoys a good tale.
Set in Manhattan and a rural retreat in upstate New York, “The Adventures of Miss Jade and Britt the Kit” is a collection of four stories focusing on Jade, a Russian Blue, and her younger sister Brittany, an orange tabby, who, with the help of their human and animal friends, learn about love, friendship and helping others, while facing universal problems of loneliness, bullying, and loss in sensitive and imaginative ways.
The stories focus on Jade’s interactions with Tony, a young boy living in Manhattan, who is struggling with loneliness and fear caused by his father’s illness; Charcoal, a country cat whose bullying ways unite the cats’ animal friends to protect their community and a kitten he has injured; Harry, a horse who gets a second chance after facing a trip to “Last Chance Luther’s” because his owners can no longer afford to keep him; and the two cats, a very special fox known as “The Prince of Tails”, and their animal friends’ efforts to protect their homes and the environment they love from being destroyed by developers.
Bash Dibra, author of “ Catspeak,” had high praise for the stories saying: “A great book… An adventure from start to finish… just, honorable morale in a small community looking out for each other.”
David Saperstein, the New York Times best-selling Author of The Cocoon Trilogy, also praised Hyman’s debut, saying: “First-time author Laurie Hyman has done a terrific job with deceptively simple stories, well-told, that resonate long after their reading. Each of the stories highlights important ways friends are there for each other, and children will love the memorable animal characters.”
“We are excited to be launching this new series,” said James Rosenfield, co-founder of Red Sky Presents, “which combines wonderful story telling with the author’s appreciation for the joys and challenges we all face growing up.”
“Mirror, Mirror,“ first romance novel of “The Fat Fairy Tales” trilogy by Katherine Noll, debuts about plus-size woman finding love and renewal
Love Fairy Tales? Well check out this Classic Fairy Tale Re-told with some twists and a few curves!
“Mirror, Mirror,” a scintillatingly riveting romance novel about a plus-sized woman’s struggle to build self-esteem, find love and elude mobsters, hits book stores and online outlets this November as the first work of author Katherine Noll’s “The Fat Fairy Tales” trilogy, announced publisher Red Sky Presents.
“I’ve struggled with my weight my entire life,” said author Noll. “As a child, it left me feeling like I could not have the prince or the fairy tale. That world was for someone else, not me. As an adult, I’ve come to realize that the greatest happily ever after anyone can have is self-love. This inspired me to rewrite classic fairy tales to include women like me and share these feelings in a way that is entertaining, fun, exciting and thought provoking. By writing this series, I was able to finally express the fairy tale within myself. My greatest hope is that readers of ‘The Fat Fairy Tales’ will be inspired to do the same.”
Kirkus Reviews, the nation’s leading prepublications journal of book reviews, wrote that Katherine Noll’s “Mirror, Mirror” is: “A feel-good fairy tale about a full-figured woman pursuing her dreams… An easy, escapist fantasy tied up with a happy ending.” The magazine, published twice a month and online at Kirkus Reviews, added, “Noll conscientiously creates a heroine with an innocent heart and a painful past. Noll transports a classic fairy tale into the modern world with a spirit of optimism.”
Set in modern day fairy tale format, “Mirror, Mirror” is about a full-figured protagonist named Neve Bianca (Italian for Snow White), and is inspired by the famed Grimms’ fairy tale, Snow White.
The first book of “The Fat Fairy Tales” trilogy, the fast-paced and exciting “Mirror, Mirror” follows the adventures of 24-year-old Neve, who must mature fast, overcome a lifetime of bullying about her weight and accept herself in order to find romance, adventure and resolution.
As the plot unfolds, Neve learns that vain, greedy and wicked stepmother Vania has taken time away from admiring herself in an ever-present mirror to plot against Neve’s father, teaming with gangsters to fleece her husband’s company, “Buildings By Bianca.” Then, tensions mount as Neve becomes the target of a mob hit.
On the run, she hides in plain sight and overcomes her shyness about her size, using her voluptuous figure to her advantage, and becoming the featured exotic dancer in a burlesque show on a traveling music festival. Naturally talented, her sizzling dances become a hit and cause increased attention as a ruthless gossip website obtains a private photo, revealing her “au natural” with a headline reading, “Busty Burlesque Bombshell Storms the Country.”
But when the mobsters discover the photo, Neve’s life is in danger once more.
As her adventures unfold, Neve meets many new friends who also faced difficulties of public acceptance. Her big-hearted new best friend, Lindsey, is a little person who plays an elf in a rock show and who has endured prejudice about her size. She also befriends lovable Doc, who is miscast as the devil in the show. Ultimately, Neve recognizes the “princess” within herself as she finds her own Prince Charming in Taye Beck, the lead singer of the music festival’s headline act.
In this compelling and exciting romance-adventure, Noll’s Neve Bianca evolves from shy and reserved to outgoing and confident as she gains self-esteem, finds love and invigorates her life.
In addition to “Mirror, Mirror,” which is based on a modern day Snow White tale, Noll’s “The Fat Fairy Tales” trilogy will also include upcoming books based on modern day versions of two other famed fairy tales, The Little Mermaid and Cinderella.

An award-winning author, Noll has written more than 50 books for the children’s market.
